It has around 70% of the cacti in Mexico and Mexico has 80% of the existing cacti of the world! In the middle of the desert, you can find an oasis of palm trees and rivers which stretch all the way to the seas. The Sea of Cortez on the east side is well known for its crystal clear waters and deserted island with amazing rock formations and white sandy beaches.
