Salvador Dali was a genius and a brilliant artist. He fell in love with the Costa Brava region of Spain and lived in Pubol during the 1980's. Today you will visit Gala Dali, his house museum castle and visit Figueres to see the theatre museum dedicated to Salvador Dali.
This tour is seasonal and operates from April to October only.
Admire and witness the works of the brilliant painter Salvador Dali (1904-1989), in two incomparable settings, the house museum castle Gala Dali in Pubol, and the theatre museum in Figueres. The medieval castle in Pubol was the residence of the painter's wife during the 1970's and the painter's own residence in the 1980's. In 1996, it became the house museum castle Gala Dali where the paintings and drawings which Dali gave to his wife are exhibited. Sculptures of elephants decorate the gardens and a collection of Gala's dresses, furniture and decorative pieces can also be found inside the castle. After this visit, you will head for Figueres, where the theatre museum of Salvador Dali is situated. It was inaugurated in 1974 and it contains a wide range of works, which describe the artistic trajectory of the genius. |
