Full Day Aboriginal Cultural Experience and Broome Town Tour
Operates: Monday, Wednesday and Friday (April - October)
Combine a terrific 'hands on' morning Aboriginal Cultural tour with an afternoon town tour of Broome. Learn about life in Broome from the perspective of local Aboriginal people, contrasted with that of a European aspect in the afternoon. Mamabulangin Aboriginal Tours will show you old age customs and survival skills of the local Aboriginal people. You can even try throwing a spear or boomerang, and maybe even dig for shellfish (tide permitting). You will have approximately 45 minutes of free time back in Broome, before joining the afternoon Broome Town Tour with Australian Pinnacle Tours. Derby is known for Australia's highest tides and being the first township in the Kimberley. On this tour you will visit the wharf and historic sites. Tour highlights include a stop at Willare Roadhouse for morning tea (own expense), a visit to the Mowanjum Aboriginal Community (subject to availability) to view their renowned Wandjina art works, sightseeing in Derby, lunch at the Boab Inn (own expense), devonshire tea at Birdwood Downs Station and a stop at the Prison Boab Tree.
Broome Fishing Cruise
Operates: Daily (April to October)
Spend a day aboard the finest day fishing boat in Broome with a fully qualified and experienced crew who assist in making your day relaxed and enjoyable. Day fishing is conducted within 30 kilometers from Broome with the skipper continually monitoring fish presence and seeking out spots for the best catch. Fish regularly caught in these waters include coral trout, snapper, trevally, red emperor, shark and many other delicious eating fish. Trawling with lures for Spanish Mackerel is conducted on the way out and on return from the reefs with all passengers sharing in part of the days catch. This great sea going vessel is equipped with under cover shaded seating, beer esky and on board restroom. The Broome Sightseeing Pass is very flexible. If you prefer, you are not required to elect a date of travel for any of the tours or the cruises until you arrive in Broome. Once in Broome, there is a 24 hour reservations telephone number to call to schedule in the tours and cruise.
Due to road conditions, the Full Day 4WD Cape Leveque and Aboriginal Communities Adventure is not suitable for pregnant women, people with back problems and young children and infants.
The visit to Tunnel Creek on the Full Day 4WD Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek Adventure involves an optional walk through the tunnel where wading through water may be required. Australian Pinnacle Tours recommend you bring bathers or shorts, a towel and strap on sandals to wear in the water. For those that don't wish to explore the tunnel, afternoon tea will be served at the vehicle.
