Your journey begins with pick up from your selected central Melbourne location. Within an hour you'll be surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Yarra Valley. Once in the Valley, your first stop is Domaine Chandon, the French Champagne company Moet & Chandon's production house. Your special access guided tour through the winery demonstrates the process for making bubbles. Take in the breath-taking views as you taste four sparkling wines and a matching of Yarra Valley antipasto and cheese is served.
Continue to Yering Station, home of the Yarra Valley's first vineyard. Enjoy a lunch at the award winning Yering Station Winery restaurant. If you are not knocked over by the architecture, you will be blown away by the breathtaking views of the Yarra Valley and the Great Dividing Range through 25 foot high windows. After lunch lunch, taste some fantastic wines at Yering Station's Old Historic Winery.
It is then onto Yering Farm, one of the Yarra Valley's more boutique wineries. Yering farm has stunning views and is oozing with rustic charm. Taste wines made with traditional methods in their cellar door, which showcases antique copper wine making tools ussed by pioneer winemakers. You'll have the opportunity to meet the winemaker and if the season is right, taste wine direct from the barrels.
If there is time in the afternoon before returning to Melbourne, your expert driver/guide may choose an another option. Maybe a visit to one of the local breweries or the local dairy for cheese tasting or another winery to taste more of the Yarra Valley best wine. Some of the wineries often visited include St Huberts, Coldstream Hills, TarraWarra, De Bortoli , Helen's Hill and Giant Steps.
