With around 300 restaurants, Nice offers a wide variety of food. A third of the city’s restaurants specialize in Nicoise and Mediterranean cuisine. Located at 1cours Saleya, Le Safari has been one of the old quarter’s leading restaurants for a long time. It now serves more tourists than locals, as you can tell by their slightly overpriced menu. A three-course meal with wine costs around $60 per person.
Oliviera
As its name suggests, the main attraction of this restaurant is its olive oil. Their menu is carefully prepared to highlight their wide variety of oil. Brasserie Flo
With over 10 outlets all around France, Brasserie Flo is one of the most popular high-end brasserie chains in the country. The one in Nice is located at 2-4 Rue Sacha Guitry, a site that once belonged to a theater. The kitchen is located where the stage used to be. Given its roots, Brasserie Flo has grand, impressive décor and wonderful ambiance. Main dishes range from €15 to €25.
L'Univers
Owned by popular chef Christian Plumail, L'Univers is renowned for serving excellent French cuisine. It is one of the most popular restaurants in Nice and a favorite haunt of celebrities. The menu is expensive though. Guests typically pay €100 per head. L'Univers is located on Boulevard Jean Jaures.
Atelier du Goût
Located at 10 rue Lascaris in the city center, Atelier du Goût is one of the fast-rising restaurants in Nice. It’s owned by popular Finnish chef Jouni Tormanen, reputed to be one of the best chefs in France.
