Karaoke and clubs in Singapore

Singapore has a thriving nightlife. While most drinking spots close at 3 a.m., a handful stays open 24 hours a day. Most of the nocturnal action is concentrated within the three Quays (Boat, Clarke and Robertson) as well as Mohammed Sultan Road. Friday and Saturday are the busiest nights of the week, while Wednesday is usually Ladies Night and women are served free drinks in many places. Most people start the night at a karaoke bar before heading off to the swanky bars and clubs. Two of the most popular karaoke bars are Party World and K-Box.

Here are some of Singapore’s most popular bars and clubs.

Harry's Bar
Located at 28 Boat Quay, The Quays, this bar offers live jazz and blues music and an excellent night-time view of the river. It’s a popular haunt of foreign tourists. There’s another branch located at the Esplanaade.

Ministry Of Sound
The favorite haunt of the British community, this club and disco boasts of seven different rooms that play a host of electronic and dance tunes and a 20-foot water curtain. Even with so many rooms, the dance floors are crowded during weekends.

Post
A swanky bar on 1 Fullerton Sq, The Quays, the Post has high ceilings and flashy metallic Art Deco that forms an impressive, snazzy look. Tourists love to order the caipiroskas as they soak in the ambience.

En Bar & Lounge
Located at Mohamed Sultan Rd, The Quays, En Bar & Lounge is another swanky bar that exudes great glamour in its mirrored music room. It’s actually an extension of the Japanese restaurant En. The crowd here is well-dressed and laid back.

Next Page
It feels like Europe rather than the Far East. Next Page has a bar made of dark timber, brick walls, big booths, pool tables and plenty of Carlsberg on tap. Located at 17 Mohamed Sultan Rd, The Quays, Next Page attracts many male international travelers who wander the city on their own and congregate here on weekends.
