Singapore Changi Airport

Singapore Changi Airport is one of the major airports in Asia. It is about 18 km from the city centre.
If you will be passing through the Transit terminal  and you have time, then do take advantage of the
free city tour while you wait for your connecting flight.  The free tours are booked and arranged at the
transit terminal
Singapore Changi Airport  has 3 terminals including a transit terminal and also a budget terminal. Within the airport there are over 300 shops and food outlets. The terminals, especially the transit terminal looks more like a city of the future.  As you wander round the terminal you will find free internet  tables where you can use the internet free for 15 minutes at a time.  There are sellers of Orchids, restaurants, bars, pools with koi fish, palm trees and on the upper levels a cactus garden and bar, swimming pool and cinemas. Oh this is not to forget the Duty free shopping!
Getting around this huge airport and its terminals is very easy thanks to the Skytrains and moving floors
The worlds largest passenger plane the A380 also flies from Singapore airport so if you are lucky you may get to see this huge aircraft.  Or if you are even luckier you may get the change to fly in it!
To get from Singapore Changi Airport to the city is easy.  The Airport shuttle bus serves all the hotels in
Singapore apart from the Changi Village hotel and those on Sentosa Island.  The bus has regular departures throughout the day and night.
You can also travel to the city by train. The first train departs at 05.30 and the last train at night is 23.00hrs
There is a public bus number 36 that will take you to the city.  The first bus arrives to Singapore Changi
Airport and the last one departs at midnight. No change is given on the bus so you will need the exact fare.
Other options are limousine service, car  hire and taxi.
