Anitkabir
The mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Turkey, stands on Anýttepe. It was completed in 1953, which combines the modern and ancient architecture styles in one. The mausoleum was designed as a result of common desire of Turkish nation to show their respect and love for Ataturk. There are a number of Ataturk’s personel belongings exhibited: the clothes, items and gifts from foreign countries... Anitkabir is open everyday except Mondays.
Ankara Ethnography Museum
The museum is located in the Ulus district and exhibits a wide collection of Turkish art and the Selcuk period till the present day. The museum itself is also a wonderful structure with stone walls and a marble pool. It is open everyday except Mondays.
Museum of Anatolian Civilizations
Situated on the south side of Ankara Castle, the museum has a rich and unique collection of Paleolithic, Neolithic, Hatti, Hittite, Phrygian, Urartian, and Roman works and Lydian treasures. In 1997, the museum was awarded as “the museum of the year in Europe” in Switzerland among the other 68 museums. It is only closed on Mondays.
Ankara Citadel
The citadel dates back before the ancient Byzantine Empire. It offers the panoramic view of this beautiful city from the top. The citadel area and inside is the oldest part of Ankara. There are many traditional restaurants that offers local cuisine and music, many local shops, situated in this charming structure.
Roman Bath
Located in the Ulus quarter, the bath exhibits all the classic features of Roman baths. In ancient times, it was built to honour the God of Medicine. Nowadays, you can only see the basement and first floors.
Ataturk Forest Farm and Zoo
The complex is a perfect place to enjoy with your family in a peaceful environment. There are small farms, greenhouses, restaurants and also a zoo.
Atakule Tower
The tower is situated in the centre of Ankara, in the Cankaya district. The top of the tower, there is an amazing terrace and restaurants revolving and offering spectacular views of the city without leaving from your seats.
There are also many wonderful parks in this lovely city such as Gençlik Park, Altýnpark, Goksupark and Harikalar Diyarý which is said to be the biggest park of Europe inside city borders.

The tower offers numerous chic shops where you can find the world famous brands too. It is also an awarded mall by ICSD in 2003 as “ Europe’s Best Shopping Mall”.
