Getting from Izmir airport
If you will be arriving to Izmir International Airport ( Adnan Adnan Menderes Havalimani) then to get to the city itself you can take the Airport bus, the Havas. This is run by a private company that provides transport between the main Airports in Turkey.
The bus runs between Adnan Menderes Airport, Gaziemir, Karabaglar, Yesildere, Kahramanlar, Basmahane, Cankaya, and the last stop is at the Grand Efes Hotel.
There are drop off points for passengers en route at Karabaglar Orjaner, Efes Hotel Karsiyaka Mavisehir on the way to the city centre.
The fares are fixed and clearly shown before you board the bus.
Some airlines provide their own shuttle service between the domestic terminal at Izmir airport and Izmir city centre, these are Turkish Airlines, Onur Air and Atlas Jet.
Travelling onwards to Selcuk, Sirince or Kusadasi?
If this is the case then you will need to pre-book a transfer or take a taxi upon your arrival. A cheaper option is to ask the property that you will be staying to arrange a transfer for you. many hotels or guest houses have their own mini bus and will be glad to collect you from Izmir Airport for a fraction on the price.
Having said that, there is a local mini bus that runs from the main highway which is about 2km from Izmir Airport to Selcuk and twice a day there is a train but at the time of writing the train is not available.
