Our first stop in North America will be Canada so see some Rocky Mountains! The Rocky Mountains that we are talking about are no less than the famous Canadian Rockies. There are five national parks that make up the Canadian Rockies. The Columbian Icefield between the Banff and Jasper national parks offers visitors some of the most spectacular ever changing scenery from lakes, waterfalls to alpine meadows and snow capped mountains. Let’s cross the border into the United States of America and take a bite out of the world’s biggest apple which is New York. New York was nicknamed the Big Apple in the nineteen twenties and the name has stuck ever since. To get the best view of New York head for the 86th floor of the Empire State Building where you will see everything but the core of this big apple!
From the United States we set sail to the Bahamas and head for the Island of Nassau which is where the legendary pirate Blackbeard lived during the 1700’s. Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas and these days Blackbeard has been brought back to life at the Pirates Museum which is in the centre of the historic capital Nassau.
From the Bahamas and without a pirates sail in sight we set sail to the Hawaiian Islands and the resort of Honolulu which is on the island of Oahu. Once on the Island of Oahu we can get to grips with the Hula dance which is unique to the Hawaiian Islands. There are many different styles of Hula and you can get to see some of these at the Polynesian Cultural centre.
