My friend wants me to travel to Australia with her. Maybe I have watched too many wildlfe or wild insect programmes to know that there are lots of bugs in Australia. I really am scared of spiders. How likely are we to come accross some spiders in the shower or bathroom? Or anywhere else for that matter.... I was recently in Kuala Lumpur and the streets were literally alive with cockroaches at night...Cockroaches I dealt with..But spiders...No way

My sister married an Englishman and bought him back to Aus. He was so paranoid about our creepy crawlies that he had a panic attack getting off the plane. Please do not let your fears run away with you. He has been here 11 years now and has never seen a snake in the wild. And he has never been bitten by a spider. Yes we have lots of little creepy things that bite here, but they do not hunt us down, they run away usually. If you happen to see some of our unique wildlife, than just think yourself lucky and leave it alone. Don't go looking for them and they wont come looking for you. Australia is a wonderful place, please do not let a fear of bugs make you miss out on all the good things we have to offer here.Pet-friendly hotels
