"Good location great price!" You can't really go too far wrong with this hotel - it's very well priced and 2 minutes away from the metro that takes you into the heart of Barcelona very quickly. The hotel is very modern and clean with helpful staff and the rooms are decorated and equipped to a very good standard. We had no problems with traffic noise and found it a peaceful retreat from the hectic city of Barcelona after what was often very long days sightseeing followed by late nights dining and drinking. The only thing we found awkward about the hotel was getting Taxi drivers to take us back to the hotel! Most of them had not heard of it. We found the best bet was to ask to be taken to Gran Via II (the shopping centre over the road) since most had heard of this! If you want to be right in the middle of everything then don't stay here. If on the other hand you want an easy route into Barcelona that will not cost a great deal then this is ideal. I would certainly stay here again.

"Chic, modern, friendly hotel" Cannot say enough about this hotel! The decor is modern, clean, gorgeous. The rooms are extremely clean, well appointed, COMFORTABLE! Best bathroom in all our hotel stays (in spain and france). All staff was helpful and friendly. They accomodated our every wish. Free internet use in the lobby. Great little restaurant. Downtown, or the center of town is a train/taxi ride away, which for some people may be inconvenient, but it worked for us and it definitely was easy to get to town via the subway - which is a short 3 minute walk from the hotel. There is a huge shopping center across the street from the hotel, as well as an IKEA. We will definitely return to this hotel!

"Over my expectation" Hi, I and my wife stayed in Capital Hotel in Barcelona from 2 to 6 August 2005. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Having opportunity to travel for business I had comparison to 4&5* hotels but to be honest the Capital is nicer than many of them. The hotel is in the new modern building. The rooms are not big but nice and enough to rest after the hot day in Barcelona. Clean. Towels changed everyday. Reasonably quiet (off the traffic). Location is not a big problem (even if during our stay undergand station was closed and we had to use shutlle bus to Pl. Espana - 10-15 min.) The hotel has a restaurant but the manu is not long and not much sophisticated. Nevertheless, nice service! BTW, they have also nice concept Self Room Service. You call, you bring, you eat in the room (all at reasonable price). But any way if you go to Barca for fun you will have plenty opportunities in the downtown. Recommended
