"Highly recommended"
My husband and I have just returned from Madrid. We have traveled quite a bit and are very particular travelers. We have stayed in many wonderful hotels. This hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group that we often frequent. We had an excellent stay here. The staff were among the best staff we have every experienced. The location is perfect, across from the park and walking distance to virtually everything. Our room overlooked the park and had a separate sitting room with sofa and flat screen TV. There is a double door to block out the street noise. The wonderful bath had a double sink and shower "room". I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you like to walk to everything, as we do. It is located in a lovely neighborhood wiuth access to all the museums, great shopping and all that Madrid has to offer.

"Fabulous experience"
I was staying in AC Palacio del Retiro for few days in the end of november 2006. The location of hotel were excellent. Nearest metro station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Beautiful park Retiro is right front of the hotel and it's really worth to visit especially during hot summer days. Staff of the hotel were really helpfull and friendly and they did everything to make me feel comfortable during my stay. Room it self were really spacious and the furnishing were really stylish. I really can recommend this hotel to everyone.
