"Lovely hotel"
We stayed for three nights Wednesday to Saturday and we were impressed with this hotel. It was clean, pleasant, and well situated in the centre of Bruges. It was very quiet at night. Our room in block C was of good size, the bathroom was spotless and everything worked. The beds were comfortable. Heating was controlled by a wall thermostat which was easy to adjust. The rooms now have kettles with tea and coffee which was very nice. The hotel had a pleasant bar and a small lounge with free internet access. The breakfast choice was huge with hot and cold food available. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. On the one morning when it rained we were able to hire a large umbrella.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Hotel Academie was great"
Clean, quiet hotel with very comfortable beds. Breakfasts excellent and surroundings very pleasant. Staff friendly and helpful. Situated in a convenient place for walking into city and close to good restaurants. Would visit again. Pity the weather did not match up to the Hotel, although they did provide umbrellas free of charge.

"Excellent Accomodation"
The accomodation was spotlessly clean, with new looking furniture, comfortable and clean beds and bathroom facilities.
Staff were overly courteous and helpful and the whole ambience of the place was tranquil despite being in a part of the City where the pony and traps clippety clop for twelve hours a day. We couldn't hear this from our room, neither from the peaceful and relaxing inner courtyard with its gentle water features and sculptures with koi carp in its ponds
There is easy access by lift from various points to the underground car park and moving through the hotel with luggage was easy because doors opened automatically whilst dimmed lights controlled by censors lit up on entering corridors.
Breakfast was more than adequate despite not having as comprehensive a range of foods as other hotels in Europe but let's face it, no-one starved.
The fact that there is no mini bar and fridge in our room was accepted by us as it is something currently being adopted throughout many European Hotels.
If anything was lacking then it was bar snacks. On two occasions we popped out a few yards down the street and were allowed to eat our baguettes in the comfort of the bucket seats arranged around tables just outside of the bar area,
I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and would recommend a visit to anyone considering Bruges as a holiday destination.
