Airth Castle & Country Club Hotel is steeped in history dating back to the 14th Century and was once owned in the 15th Century by The Family of Robert the Bruce.
Weddings are very popular within the Castle with the ceremony taking place in the delightful Wallace Lounge, offering wedding pictures to remember.
The former Stable block is now the Country Club & boasts 99 comfortable rooms including, doubles, twins, family rooms & junior Suites. The Stables Bar, The Conservatory Pyramid Restaurant, meeting rooms for up to 300 persons. Stables Bar also offers light lunches and a selection of international beers and spirits are on offer in the modern lounge bar, where guests can also relax with a coffee and the daily papers.
A Full Health & Fitness Club with Swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, gymnasium and beauty treatments can also be found in the Country Club.
Callendar House imposing mansion within attractive parkland with a 900 year history. Facilities include a working kitchen, clockmaker, printer general store and garden where costumed interpreters carry out daily chores of the 1820s. Exhibition areas, "story of Callendar House" and 'William Forbes Falkirk', plus two temporary exhibition galleries, with changing exhibitions. There is also a history research centre, gift shop and Georgian Teashop at the stables. House is large, allow two and a half hours for visit.
Frequent bus services run from the station adjacent to the terminal to Waverley train station in Edinburgh’s city centre, from where trains to Falkirk and Stirling can be caught. Taxis are also available from a taxi rank adjacent to the Terminal. The hotel can arrange airport transportation if contacted in advance.
