Located in Smichov which is one of the most attractive commercial districts in the city of Prague, the Hotel Akcent was built on an office block which dates back to the 1930�s and the hotel was opened in 2005.

LOCATION

The Hotel Akcent is located in Andel area in Smichov district, approximately 15 minutes walking distance to Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. This area is one of the most attractive parts of the city as an intersection point of the public transportation links.

Two of the famous shopping centres in Prague, Andel City and Zlaty Andel and one of the biggest shopping malls in Prague, Novy Smichov are in close proximity to the Hotel Akcent. The hotel is also in walking distance to Petrin Hill which is a famous recreational area.

If you pass across the Vltava River through the Jiroslav Bridge, you can see the Dancing House on the right side which is an attractive building with its interesting architecture and its French restaurant on the roof with a wonderful view of the city.

Just 200 metres (650 feet) away from the Dancing House you can visit the Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Cyril and Methodius built in the 18th century. By following the way to the east you can reach the Charles Square which is the largest medieval town square in Europe.

The way to the north from the Charles Square will lead you to the Wenceslas Square, the commercial centre of the New Town. The National Museum and the Prague State Opera are situated here as well.

The Old Town Square is five minutes walking distance to the Wenceslas Square and here is sorrounded by medieval buildings. Here you can see the Old Town Hall and Tower, the Tyn Cathedral, St. Nicholas Church and the Astronomical Clock.

The Hotel Akcent is adjacent to the Andel metro station and 200 metres (650 feet) to the Na Knizeci tram station. One of the main bus terminals of Prague is close to the hotel as well. As you arrive at the Prague Ruzyne Airport, you can take the bus no. 100 to Zlicin and then metro line B to Andel.
