Good choice
we were staying for 1 week in march and we found this hotel the best solution for what we have paid, had everything we need and very comfortable as well as very friendly and helpfull staff. Room and breakfast was very good and clean, we would definetely return to this hotel in future.

Welcoming, Clean & Comfortable
While traveling in Italy with a group of 4, our first stop was Florence. Hotel Alamanni was able to offer us a suite with a queen bed and two singles in an apartment block just around the corner from the hotel to accommodate. At first, walking to the apartment felt strange, but when we arrived the room was very clean, comfortable with a private kitchen and bathroom. The breakfast room in the hotel is very cute, assortment was good and has a great view of the Duomo. The location was excellent, just a 5 min walk from the train station and Santa Maria Novella - a must see for any art lover. The staff was extremely friendly and patient as our Italian was almost non-existant! If you're traveling on a budget, this is the perfect place to make the most of your Euros!

the location of this hotel is excellent 5 mins away from santa maria novella station; we werent staying in the hotel but we were given an apartment about 100 meters further away from the hotel. it was a quiet apartment and average space in room. will definately use it again.

"Comfortable Stay"
We have just spent 2 nights at the Hotel Alamanni. The room was clean, comfortable, warm and very quiet. We were lucky that we weren't overlooking the busy street in front of the hotel but we were looking at the back of another hotel in the street behind. We had a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table, but no time to sit on them because we needed to see as much as possible. Florence is such a lovely city with so much to see, no spare time to spend in the hotel! The sun was on the balcony during the day so it would have been pleasant to sit there. There was however some kind of pump/motor on the balcony but this didn't bother us because it only seemed to come on for about two or three mins and that wasn't too often, about twice in our 2 day stay.. All in all for what is quite a central hotel and the b&b price we paid with superbreak we were pleased.

"good little hotel"
We stayed in the Alamanni Hotel for about 4 nites while in Florence. The price was good and for an Italian Hotel, the room was quite large. The bed was comfortable, and lots of storage space for our bags. View was atrocious..lol. Very loud in the AM because you are in the business district. If youve never been to Italy before this might throw you off because it looks like a bad area of town, but most bus line areas look this way so have no fear. Outside our window in the morning there was a gentleman that would whistle loudly as he loaded his delivery truck that you could set your watch by. But you are in Florence so you should be up and about to see the sites by 9:00 A.M. anyway. The staff was very helpful. Its the little things that count like giving a free map of Florence showing the sites in relation to the hotel. I suggest going to the market next to the post office that is about 3 minutes away on foot to purchase basics like water, soda, and snacks to save tons of money. Great Hotel for a basic vacation stay in the city, i suggest somewhere further out side the city limits if going for a more romantic stay.
