"A Gem Outside of Venice Italy"
Cosmos "Essential Italy" had booked the Hotel Albatros in Mestre Italy for this final leg of our tour. This hotel was outside of Venice but was still accessible using the #2 bus. Once at the main terminal, you could take a water ferry or even WALK into Venice. Our room was on the first floor and must have been recently remodeled. The room was quite large but the twin beds were really small size. Bathroom was adequate. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Hot scrambled eggs, ham, breads, yogurt, cereal were available. Waitress brought cold juice and coffee/tea to your table. Directly across from the hotel was a restaurant, tobacco shop and small mercado. Another block to the left was a Catholic Church for services. We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel.
