Rebuilt in the 1900s on the site of the first casino on the Lido, the new building was built in cottage style. The hotel, and historic residence, is a complex of 3 villas, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The style is quite original for Venice since it reminds of a spot of Northern Europe with its countryside villa, white painted walls, dark woodden balconies and shutters. Thee main building also encompasses parts of the original 16th-century building, as well as features such as wrought-iron light fixtures from the building's reincarnation as a tavern in the 19th century.
