Wonderful Very nice hotel. We stayed there for six nights and loved it. It was clean, the staff was very helpful as well. The breakfast was great with everything you could wish for. Very good food in the restaurant as well, a bit expensive though. You have to try the Brazilian Entrecote, excellent. I think it took us about 10-15 minutes to walk to the city centre. and the best casino in Latvia is only 10 minutes away, by foot. /Olympic Voodoo Casino) All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Paul Smee Stayed October 2007 for four nights. Excellent hotel, friendly reception staff, rooms a bit small but modern in design and cleaned daily. Food & drink reasonably cheap. 15 min walk to Old Town, lots to see & do. Would highly recommend this hotel.

"Can't go wrong if you don't mind a walk" Just got back from 3 nights at the Albert....Nice modern hotel - great rooftop bar. Nice functional rooms - Good breakfast. It's about 10 minutes to the old town by foot and at the price I got (£50 per night inc. Breakfast)....you really can't go wrong. I highly recommend the hotel - wasn't so sure about Riga itself but if I ever go back - I will definitely stay at the Albert

"Albert - top hotel" Great hotel, great staff, clean tidy, fantastic breakfast, star bar is the biz, great location i.e. top bars locally (check out the Captains Watch for chilling music/host first corner on the left) Red Fred down the road about 250 yds). Rooms are small however all you do is sleep and shower there, location, breakfast and top shower make up for that, 2 mins from artistic buildings, can't spell neauvieu ( go and see them), the riverside 10 mins etc etc great place in Jan/Feb anyway, stag do's withstanding

"2 great nights at the Albert" Spent two nights at the Albert Hotel last week and it was fantastic. Reasonably priced, nice room and the staff were fantastic - very friendly and more than happy to give us advice about what pubs and clubs to go to. If I come back to Riga I would definetly stay here again.

"Fab Hotel" I have just returned from riga after 2 nights in the albert hotel, before i departed i found the reviews on this site helpful, but i was eager to see for myself, the reviews are all very accurate. the hotel was excellent. It is modern and clean and new. The service was excellent and all the staff spoke very good english (a bonus seen as my latvian is non existent!) the rooms were a little small, however the heated floors in the bathroom were a nice touch and very welcomed after a day in the snow! we ate in the hotel restaurant and this was very good value (approx £40 for 2 courses for 2 plus wine and drinks) the food was excellent, we also had after dinner cocktails in the star bar at the top of the hotel this was a nice relaxing atmosphere with wonderful views of the city. i would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody.

"Fabulous Albert" Thoroughly enjoyed stay in Hotel,service was first class and the food first class.The Star Bar on the 11th Floor has fabulous views of the city. I have stayed in hotels in many countries and have not been in any that beats the service and excellent value for money the Albert has. Keep up the good standards you are setting

"Wonderful Albert Hotel, Riga" I just spent 3 nights in the Albert Hotel, and what a total delight! All the praise I've read about the hotel is deserved. Everyone, to a person, was friendly, helpful, even going out of their way to get information and remember to update my key for late checkout so I wouldn't have a problem. The rooms aren't large but are completely adequate,clean, and comfortable and the minibar is fine if you have a late night craving for chocolate or wine. Most of all, I can't praise the staff enough for their hospitality and answering dozens of questions about tickets to the opera (which was phenomenal! The Flying Dutchman) and for directions. This is terrific value for the price, very nicely located, and with a restaurant on the first floor and a bar/snacks menu on the 11th, it's easy to get what you need. They have a safe deposit box in the lobby and the time clocks, a la Einstein's relativity, are very amusing. I'd stay there again in a minute.

"Albert Hotel - Very clean, friendly and comfy" A small group of us just spent 2 nights at the Albert Hotel. We paid £52 per room per night. The staff were all very friendly and the rooms were of a decent size and very comfortable. Every room has an LCD TV, however only a couple of channels were in English. Very clean bathroom, with heated floor and powerful shower. The Starbar on the 11th floor has a fantastic view across the city and is very reasonably priced (even the mini-bar in the room is of a good price). The hotel is about 10 to 15 mins walk to the old town where most of the bars, restaurant and clubs seemed to be, however there are still a few good places within a 5 minute walk radius of the hotel open until the very early hours of the morning. Good selection of food on the breakfast, although some of it may not appeal to British tastes, but still great value since it is free! Safety deposit boxes are free and require 2 keys to open. They are also secured in a locked room. Free internet access in the hotel foyer.
