Wow!
I stayed at the Alexandra about ten years ago and always dreamed of returning. Last year, I did. Very often, time can enhance a good memory. Would the Alex be as superb as before? I was not disappointed. It had grown. It was even more luxurious, but it still possessed its uniquely friendly atmosphere.The food is wonderful, rooms are so comfortable and kept scrupulously clean. The new Spa is excellent. |

Large tour groups, conferences
The Alexandra is one of three hotels to stay at in Loen, Norway. We were there as part of a conference from a Friday until Wednesday. This is a resort style hotel complete with health spa, gym, indoor/outdoor pools, jacuzzis, water slides, tennis courts, and mini golf. The meals were mostly buffet style, heavy on fish and meats. Most of the vegetables were cooked or pickled. The dessert buffet is very large and one could easily expand their wasteline over a few days. The views from the hotel are spectacular. The room was a nice size. |
