LOCATION

Alif Hotel is a nice property located a few minutes from Lisbon's historical centre, as well as from the airport, just beside the Campo Pequeno Bullring, in one of the nicest areas of the city.

PROPERTY AMENITIES

* An American breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast room between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.

* The restaurant is only available for breakfast, which is served from 07:00 until 10:00. Guests can enjoy breakfast looking out to the splendid view of the city and the Bull Fighting Arena. The hotel can also serve breakfast in the tranquillity of the room. The area surrounding the hotel has lots of restaurants, guaranteed to impress the most discerning of connoisseurs, with immense variety catering for all different tastes.

* At the Bar Tejo, located on the 1st floor, guests can enjoy great cocktails, drinks and snacks in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Also room service can be ordered during bar opening hours.

Dit hotel kan ik een ieder aanbevelen ,een superontbijt , schoon , de kamer is wat aande kleine kant , weinig of geen geluid van buiten , het personeel in de lobby zou wat vriendelijker kunnen zijn , die zijn vriendelijker als de leiding van het hotel aanwezig is , de metro is vlakbij , en ook een winkelcentrum om de hoek , onder het grote rode gebouw

"Nice Hotel"
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with a friend in May 2007. The rooms are quite modern, maybe little small but clean and bright. Quite a good selection of tv channels too - BBC World, Sky news, CNN etc. The staff were good, with the bell boys and bar staff especially eager to help. Breakfast was the usual continental rolls and cereal. No evening restaurant here, although there is one next door. The hotel is in a more commercial area of the city so during the evening you really need to venture into the centre. This is cheap and very easy though, with the Campo Pequeno Metro stop a few hundred yards away.

"Excellent for the price!"
The hotel is easy to reach from the airport even at nighttime.(The bus Nr 45,44,91 runs directly until midnight!)From the bus station its only a few meters to walk. The room is quite nice, a little small, but therefore the bathroom is quite big and has even a bidet.The only problem were the pillows, the were too hard hard to sleep on. Breakfast was excellent, a buffet with so many choices!At busy times you had to wait very long for the elevator, but you had the choice to make morning gym and walk up to the 9floor, where you had a bautiful view.The room was very clean and in good conditions.There is a shopping center in Campo Pequeno, which is opened every day until 11p.m. There is also a cinema, where you can watch english movies with portugese subtiles and a food court with lot of restaurants to choose from.

"Great Hotel, excellent location!"
We stayed in the Hotel Alif for 3 nights in June. We had a twin room which was very nice, it had big wardrobes, satellite TV, a safe, air conditioning and quite a large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was very nice. There was a good selection of hot and cold food and cakes, cereal, toast etc. The hotel is 2 minutes walk to the Metro station, which is underneath the Bull Ring in the shopping centre. The station itself is located in the centre of the metro map so it is possible to reach all of the parts of Lisbon very easily. The price of the Metro fares is also unbelievably cheap! The staff were very friendly, they ordered us a taxi to the airport and answered any questions we had. There was also a lot of tourist information and discount books in the reception which were useful for seeing what was on offer.

I got the Alif from a list for people attending conferences. My room was pretty cheap at 60 euros a night. I was pleased with the location, a bit out of the centre of town, on an underground line, with very easy access to the airport (the aerobus stops at Campo Pequeno) and to the city. The hotel looked a bit shabby from the outside, but inside it was fine - my room was clean and well maintained. I hardly use hotel bars but i got cold sparkling water there and the bar area itself was very pleasant. The restaurant is on the 9th floor with good views particularly over the architecturaly interesting old bull-ring, now being redeveolped into shops / cafes / offices. If you want a vegetarian restaurant, you must go to Terra in Barrio Alto - excellent.

Stayed for three nights in Alif Hotel,found it clean and comfortable.very good location near metro which is a great way to travel around Lisbon.It was very reasonable.
