Great Time I don't travel often at all, but I know what I like in a getaway experience when it comes to accomodations. Was a little scared booking with this hotel at first as there was not a lot of reviews online. In any case, i took a chance and the following is my experience. Arrived at the hotel, looked just like in the photos online. Was greeted and briefed of the facilities. Was at the checkin counter no longer than 5 minutes. Also, I was told that my original reservation of a queen size bed has been upgraded to a king size. While walking to my room, my girlfriend and I were greeted twice by hotel staff who were just passing by. Sounded genuine and happy. Once in the room, it was nothing spectacular, your average room. There was a smell to the room...just hotel smell, but more prominent than others which gave me the impression that cleanliness was not big here. The couch and sofa like bench had black shoe stains on it. The washroom was a little smaller than what I expected but it was no big problem. The room came equiped with an empty mini fridge and microwave which was nice. On the second day, my girlfriend and I decided to hit the water park which was quite fun. The facility was clean and they seemed to have plenty of lifeguard staff. Some places let water sit for a while on the floor and it gets nasty, I noticed twice in the two hours I spent there that there was something "sweeping" the water away. The spa experience was nice. We arrived on our scedule appointment time and they pretty much knew or assumed who we were. Could have been a lucky guess but either way, it was nice. My girlfriend and I were shown into our seperate change areas and lounge area where we would await out registered massage therapists. The change room was nice and clean. A locker was provided for my belongings. The lounge area for male and female is seperate. The male one is attached to the male change room with seating for 3, an LCD TV, fresh fruit and newspapers. The female longe was larger, could accomodate approx 10-12 people comfortably. It had fresh fruit, coffee/tea, magazines, newspapers and a fireplace. We were shown into the Utopia room for the private session and the masseuses' were very accomodating and provided a very relaxing experience. Jack Tanner's Restaurant. This is the hotel restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner. The place is like more Jack Astor type restaurants but not as loud. there was box seating with TVs for the kids and a bar area for adults. There also seemed to be another dinning area with a large LCD TV but the decor was more "elegant". Did not check it out though. Service was average and food was a little above average, the dinner at least. We called room service multiple times. For towels, wine glasses, a corkscrew. Each time, someone arrived at the door promtly with our request and with a smile. Was great as I have been a places and had to wait a good 15-20 minutes. Overall a good experience. I would defintely go back again. A word though...this place is targeted at families as a getaway for the parents and kids. Not a bad thing, but some may want to stay at a place that is less family oriented. Room 3/5 only due to initial cleanliness Water Park 4/5 Service 5/5 Spa 5/5
