"Nice Hotel, Quiet Location"
We stayed in Hotel Ampere in May 2005 for 3 nights and would definitely recommend it to those looking for a clean, bright, modern hotel at affordable prices (for 4 star in Paris). We were initially worried by some of the other reviews which suggested that the hotel was somewhat isolated from places of interest but this was not the case. There is a metro station (Pereire) located approx 100 metres from the hotel providing easy access within 15 minutes to the centre of Paris. We bought a 3 day Paris Visite Card which cost €16 for unlimited bus and metro travel. The reception staff at Ampere were friendly, the breakfast was good and made more enjoyable as we were able to eat outside in the small garden. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for those who do not wish to venture into central Paris.
