"Pleasantly surprised" I wasnt expecting what i got to be honest, i found the reception staff friendly and efficient, there is a public telephone in the lobby with different dialling codes if you wished to phone home or check on the kids. the lobby and corridors were spotlessly clean as were the rooms. the rooms were very basic but you had a tv with 20 odd channels,some in english, the bathroom was very small but clean, you had a shower and clean towels which were changed daily, also every room comes with a safe,you pay an 18 euro deposit at reception for the key and you get 15 euros back when you check out. The location couldnt be better really,its just 5 mins walk from the central stn and within walking distance of many attractions and places of interest, bike hire, Dam square, Anne Franks house is about 20 mins walk, canal cruises just 10 mins away, it really is as good as you'll get location wise. One tiny moan is that our room was right above the bar and the bass from the music could be heard quite clearly, but the second night we didnt hear it once. There is also a wonderful chinese restaurant next door which is ideal if youve just arrived and cant be bothered to search for somewhere to eat. If your looking for a hotel in the centre of Amsterdam in walking distance to pretty much everywhere and its just 3 stops from the airport on the train and your not looking for luxury then i would recommend the botel. would i go back??? YES..

"awsome place!!!!!!!!!" Just stayed for 3 nights and cant beat it, awsome, friendly staff, great location. Would go again...

"a wonderfull hotel(botel)" my wife and i have just returned from 4 wonderfull days in amsterdam and we both loved this hotel, the rooms are not large but more then adiquit,warm and clean,serviced each day,the breakfast was filling and enjoyable, the staff made our holiday,will we stay here again (YES)11 out of 10, thank you all rob alex mckenzie
