"Excellent Choice! Great Hotel"
Having never stayed in a hotel near the Disneyland Resort before, we made a leap of faith and picked this hotel. Well, we made an awesome choice. This hotel was awesome from the moment we checked in, until the moment we left. Every staff member and employee was very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. We were there for Disney and we were about 2 miles away, but we felt it was worth it. There are three restaurants in the parking lot of the hotel (Outback, Red Robin, and Joe's Crab Shack). If you are going to Disney from this hotel just go down Harbour Blvd and then enter in the California Adventure parking lot (this lot is the less busy entrace for parking and you will avoid long parking lines and still get the tram to the main gates for both parks. You will avoid the main traffic congestion at the main entrance because that is where all of the highway traffic enters). You will need to leave early for the parks - don't underestimate the time you need. Theme parks are for morning people and you will need to get there at least 45 minutes before opening if you don't want to wait long. We were there over the Christmas Holiday and the Magic Kingdom park closed its gates at 9:30 am - we were inside, but we heard lots of folks complaining. This hotel offers a shuttle to the parks, but we found it just as quick to drive ourselves to the parks and then we weren't at the mercy of the shuttle. The only downfall to this hotel is the lack of parking, but the hotel staff will guide you to park in the same lot as the restaurants, there are signs that say that there is only a 2hr limit, but hotel staff will tell you to ignore those signs - it is okay. You will not go wrong for your stay at the Crowne Plaza!
