"Thw Wow Factor!"
I am on my second stay here within the last 60 days. I have to say this is a wow hotel! You can't beat the location, staff ( which is all family) price anywhere in Anchorage, I come to Anchorage 4-6 times ayear on business so I know. This little hotel lives up to it's nickname "The Biggest Little Hotel In Town". Where can you stay within 5 blocks to all the downtown business center, with private (free) off street parking, beautiful rooms, a very good (free) continal breakfast, a family that makes you feel as if your are a member of their family as soon as you walk in the door. This is really one of the best kept secerets in Anchorage. Wonderful location, wonderful staff, I recommend this hotel to anyone that does not like the large cold chains.

"Home Away From Home"
I was in Anchorage on a business trip and got stuck staying through Thanksgivving. I had been at this hotel for a week and the owners had treated me like family. When I got stuck they went out of their way to ensure I was well taken care of on Thanksgiving Day. they even shared their dinner with me. I travel a 100+ days a year and stay in hotels from 5 star - to discount and by far I have never had such service by any hotel, no matter how large, as this one. The hotel is a small family operation just 5 blocks from city center. it has everything you need, private (free) parking, free laundry facilities, cable, internet in every room, computer, copier, fax, all free. I would recommend this hotel to any business traveler that wants a nice peacful place to rest after a busy day

"Best little Hotel in Town"
I am a business man that travels 150 days a year. For years I have been seeking out small family operated hotels and Inns. This time in Anchorage I found this small hotel while taking a walk. I asked the owners if I could come in and look around. After looking around and talking to the owner I went and checked out of my other hotel. That was one of the best decisions I have made. This little hotel is a rare gem amoung many Anchorage hotels. The location is perfect, just far away from the hub of downtown to be peacful and quite but close enough to walk to all meetings and events. The rooms are out of grandmas house, the hotel is spotless clean. The owners will not let you be a number. From the moment you walk in to the moment you depart they make you feel as if you are one of the family. I come to Anchorage 4-5 times a year and will always stay here from now own.

"Loved The Anchorage Downtown Hotel"
We just spent a lovely week with the fine folks at this small, intimate hotel. We found this hotel on the internet while looking at prices for the chains. The reviews were so great we though we must try it. The reviews were right on. This little gem of a darling hotel is wonderful, the owners were outstanding. What a treat to actualy have owners taking care of you instead of some hourly wage earner. Makes all the difference in the world. The hotel is a small one located just on the fringe of the downtown area, very quite. It is just a very short walk to everything ( no car needed). The rooms are well decorated with house type furniture ( no cold chain stuff here). We had a suite with a jet tub and we could run hot water all day if we wanted. We have never stayed in a hotel where you could never run out of hot water. While there my husban became a little sick, the owners have a MD friend that they called and he made a house (hotel) call fixed my husband up and did not even charge us. What service. We plan on returning to Anchorage 1n 2008 and have already made reservations at this wonderful hotel.
