Located in Andel which is an attractive district near Central Prague, the Hotel Angelis is an ideal choice for a pleasant stay with its warm atmosphere. The hotel has 33 rooms and 5 suites all of which are beautifully decorated and well-equipped to fulfill your needs.

LOCATION

The Hotel Angelis is located in Andel (Angel), near the Vltava River, approximately 3 kilometres (1,8 miles) from the both Wenceslas and Old Town squares. The hotel is very convenient to public transportation while the Na Knizeci tram station is 300 metres (0,2 mile) away and it takes about 10 minutes to arrive at the city centre. A bus stop and a metro station are also within close proximity of the hotel.

Andel has become one of the most important commercial centres of Prague since the late 1990s. The area offers numerous bars and restaurants as well as two multiplex cinemas and the biggest shopping mall in Prague, Novy Smichov. One of the closest sights is the Petrin lookout tower which is 60 metres (200 feet) high and offers a view of the Prague skyline. The Staropramen Brewery is also in close proximity where you can learn more about the history of brewing beer in Bohemia.

The Wenceslas Square is an attractive boulevard situated in New Town of Prague. Here you can find many opportunities for entertainment, dining and shopping. With its rich collections the National Museum and the State Opera are located here as well.

The Old Square is sorrounded by magnificent medieval buildings as the Tyn Cathedral, St. Nicholas Church and the Town Hall and Tower with the Astronomical Clock mounted on its wall. The tower offers a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

To reach the Hotel Angelis from the Prague Ruzyne Airport, you can take the bus no. 119 to Dejvicka and here transfer to bus no. 217 to Na Knizeci.

"Excellent for the disabled or mobility impaired traveller"
We stayed at this hotel during Christmas 2006 and the New Year celebrations. We were given a huge hotel suite (4 rooms)with facilities for the disabled. The only negative is that a rail is needed in the bath and a ramp in main reception for wheelchairs. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and the hotel is quiet at all times (day & night). However although it is away form the centre (approx 1.4 km) the location is well situated for the metro and the trams. There are some excellent restaurants and bars in the location (including a brewery next door!) This is an excellent and really inexpensive hotel. I would definately recommend it to anyone. We will go again.

"Good Hotel"
Good clean value for money .Quite isolated but trams not far away .Surrounded by the Staropramen brewery which has a good resturant and bar !.The hotel was warm and friendly clean and modern.The only thing lacking were tea/coffee making facilities in the room .I would use the hotel again if I were to return to Prague.

"pleasantly surprised with the angelis"
myself, my wife, her sister & husband stayed at this hotel this week. all four of us were very pleased with everything. the location might not be to everyones liking, being a bit out of town, but with excellent & cheap public transport (we used 72 hour passes) we found the quiet location suited us ideally. next time in prague it will definately be the angelis for us. p.s. the receptionist, barbora, was very helpful & efficient

"Great inexpensive find"
Booked this hotel very last minute on a Thursday hours before flying out. It's only 15 mins walk to the centre but less than 5 to a major metro station (Andel) Which has a nice stretch of bars and restaurants. Also a couple of minutes from the river which is a pleasant walk. It's also located adjacent to the huge Statoprammen brewery which is supposed to be well worth a visit, unfortunately we didn't have time to visit Rooms are impecably clean, the hotel is either very new or just recently had a very good refurbishment. Comfy beds, brand new and spacious bathroom, although oddly there was no shower curtain! For approx £30 a night this represents exceptional value. But don't be put off by the apparent cheapness, I've paid plenty more for some seriously mediocre rooms in the past. We really lucked out. I'll definitely be revisting Prage and will probably look up this place as my first port of call.

"Nice hotel"
I was actually moved here since my original hotel did not have a room for me. (Read my review under Acc- NifosTchaikovsky Hotel) I can't comment on the price since they gave me the price I was promised at the other hotel. My room was large, the staff friendly, the breakfast good. I enjoy walking, but this is really a hike from town. The train and trams are not far away, though. The immediate neighborhood is creepy, but the high street nearby is nice enough. I enjoyed restaurants and shops along my walk into Old Town. I saw two or three Erotic City's close by, which is up to the traveler if that is good or bad. I found it amusing. It is Prague, afterall.
