"Great Hotel!!!"
The hotel was fantastic. I would say anyone wondering whether to stay here or not you would be silly not to. It was very modern, clean and all the staff were very friendly. The rooms were beautiful. It is an ideal location, 5 mins away from the centre by tram or metro and the surrounding area of Andel is really buzzing with great shops. Food in the hotel was great. We had breakfast and lunch there and both were great. A************

"Fantastic Hotel"
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Angelo for 4 nights (B&B) in March 2007. Arrived at the hotel late evening, and had a very efficient check in, along with being provided with extra information for tours and maps of the local area, which we found very helpful during our stay.
The hotel room was lovely, of a good size and very clean. The queen size bed was very comfy and the cleaning service was excellent. They came in every day and changed the sheets, with fresh clean white linen which was lovely to snuggle up in at night and watch the flat screen TV at the end of the day after those tiring sight seeing walks! The bathroom was spotless (looked as though we were the first to use it!) with a great power shower, and again, fresh white towels provided every day.
The breakfasts were fantastic, and I would be truly shocked if any person could say they could not find something they liked to eat here! Where do I begin? Fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals, fresh bread, variety of cheeses and pates, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, saute potatoes, huge variety of continental cakes, allsorts of jams & marmalades to go along with the toast you can cook yourself so it comes just how you like it! Fresh coffee and tea, and 4 different types of fresh juices! It may have been easier for me to list the things they dont have?
The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the main centre of Prague, but the tram services are literally right around the next corner. The trams run every few minutes and are very cheap to use, so there was no problem getting about.
There are some nice places to eat local to the hotel, and also a cinema and shopping Mall with a huge Tesco inside, incase you have forgotten to pack anything.
Prague is a lovely city and we would have no hesitation in recommending The Angelo Hotel. Having done my homework and read up on the Trip Advisor reviews before booking, I can only clarify even more on the positive feedback and what a great place to stay it is.
To sum it up, spotlessly clean, very modern, great location, good food, very helpful staff and lots of happy smiling guests!

"A Good Hotel"
Stayed here for six days in May 07. Hotel is very new so everything is in very good condition and very modern. Room was a reasonable size, flat screen tv with plenty of channels. Only one slight criticism, there are no draws to put clothing in. The bathroom is shower only, no bath, but the shower is an excellent one. The rooms on the front of the hotel face an office block which compromises privacy a bit. A room on the rear side would be better. Breakfast is very good, plenty of choice and good quality. Staff are very helpful. We were a bit unsure of the location of this hotel when we booked as it is not in the centre, it is in Smichov. However this turned out to be an advantage as there are many shops and restaurants
near the hotel including a humongous Tesco! The prices are much less than the restaurants in the centre and the public transport is excellent. You can be in the centre in a matter of minutes. A one, two or three day pass is a good investment as it covers trams, buses and the metro. Overall, a really good place to stay

"An Absolutely Beautiful Hotel"
I booked this hotel on Expedia for around $90 a night. It claimed a 4 star hotel. Since this is Europe, and examples of 4 star hotels have actually been 2 to 3 star in reality for North American standards, I was bracing myself for a letdown, even though reviews have been glowing on TA and the pics look great on the website. I am pleased to say that this is one of the better hotels I have ever stayed in and earns the 4 star grade as a property based on things being brand new (7 months old), bold and funky decor, and a great location.
The rooms are spotless and the decor in red and yellow. It is funky to be sure, but, also has flavor and character chain hotels miss. It's really a big boutique hotel like W. The staff in super nice and the lobby is fantastic with the umbrella lamps overhead. The location is very cool in that it is not right in the center of town, but, in a great bustling modern area with malls, stores, shops, etc. You can take the #9 tram into town easy, or just walk 20 minutes right over the river.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would be back in a heartbeat.
NOTE: I chose the 20Euro upgrade package which includes free internet, update to the Executive 7th floor, free drinks, etc. Well worth it if you HAVE to be connected to the net. Otherwise, it's 15Euros a day for that. An extra 5 for a bump up to the 7th floor with extra perks is well worth it.

"Great stay at the Angelo!"
We stayed at the Angelo on our visit to Prague in July 2006. Hotel is located in the 5th district of Prague (West side of the river). It's a bit far to walk into town from here, however, both tram and underground train stations are conveniently located within 5 minutes by foot. Also, there is a well-stocked mall, including a Tesco supermarket even closer.
Hotel is brand new and well decorated. Interior is "W"-like with contemporary and minimalist furnishings. The rooms are relatively spacious, similar to what you would find in the States, but large compared to other European properties that we've stayed at. There was also a minifridge, and if I recall correctly, a room safe that could hold a laptop and other items. Bathroom was great! Lots of counterspace, bright lighting, and a walk-in shower. Housekeeping was efficient and room was spotless upon check-in and throughout our stay.
As we arrived in Prague via the night train, we arranged to have the hotel pick us up. It was nice that the driver met us directly at the platform as we were disembarking. Arranging for this service is easily accomplished via email.
Staff was extremely sincere and friendly, with the concierge providing many recommendations (including non-touristy local pubs). A very nice buffet breakfast was included in the room rate as well.
