"Great Florence Hotel"
Just returned from a week in Florence, staying 6 nights at the Hotel Anglo American with a group of 20. Very charming property. Room was rather small, but very clean, adequate and quiet. Beautiful marble bath. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, restaurant food was very good with "Great Florence Hotel"
an excellent breakfast buffet. Charming lobby bar as well. Nice, quiet location within a couple blocks of the Arno River, and plenty of merchants/restaurants, etc. I'd stay here again.

"Silver Wedding anniversery"
The hotel is a five minute walk from the train station in a quiet area and approx. 20mins from the centre of the city. We found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. Our room was outstanding, big enough for a massive double bed, a writing desk and a sofa and two chairs. The whole of the room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. There is a nice bar area where we used to relax after taking the evening air and eating in one of the local restaurants.
We really enjoyed our time in Florence and would recommend this hotel to anyone

"Anglo American Hotel in Florence Location & Service"
I am a tour director with QueensLander Tours and we utilize the Anglo American as well as the Montbello Splendid in Florence. The Anglo American is a good hotel (about 4 stars), has tall ceilings, very "World War II"esque, if you will, the staff is service-oriented, it's in the Embassy section which is about 10 minutes nice walk to the historic center of Florence. I recommend this hotel with their buffet breakfast. It's a great deal and also provides a feel of luxury while not going over the top with the price.

"Quiet and Nice: Perfect Together!"
Our Honeymoon Stay was great at the Anglo. We checked in and we were upgraded to a Suite, which was very nice. The room was big and the amenities were great. We had a interior patio view that was OK, but a street view would be better.
The location is great because we were close enough to the attractions, but the street is very quiet which was awesome. It's near the Arno river and the scene is nice.
The breakfast was regular Italian food for tourists and they had mimosa's which I enjoyed. I recommend Osteria Il Mostrino for dinner, just a few blocks down from the hotel. Just to mention that you're in the heart of the Tuscan region and the cuisine is the best.
Hands down, this is a great hotel, and I would definitely stay here again.

"Simply Perfect!"
I stayed at Framon Anglo American Hotel for 2 nights. I just hope it was more than 2 days!
Rooms:
LARGE, bright, elegant, clean, etc. It's the best room I ever had, except from the lack of balcony (of course you cannot expect balcony at Firenze, thus it's not a problem!). They had everything you could need on the bathroom. The quality of shower gel/sampoo/soap was simply excellent! At least to our bathroom everything was perfect. Marbles everywhere, clean.
Breakfast:
The best buffet I have ever see and tasted! They had EVERYTHING! The dinning room is a perfect restoration of a dinning room of 17th century.
Personel:
The most pleasant personel we have ever contact with! Our baggages were at our room before us. The last day we asked for a taxi. They told us that the taxi will be there at 3 minutes. It was there in 3 minutes! They helped us with everything we asked.
