"Amazing food and a lovely hotel - for sure will return"
Amazing place with heavenly food of a five star restaurant!. We were in Zermatt staying at Hotel Antares from Dec 23-Jan 4th. We are originally from US, New York now living in London - and were very spoiled by various hotels. we wanted to stay close to the lift so we chose Antares, plus other hotels did not have the dates. Antares it is just a building away from one of the main lifts. let me tell you how pleasantly surprised was everybody in our party - me, my husband, my sister from NY and another couple who came to joined. The food was out this world. Monica runs the hotel - and her husband is a chef - we had 9 course meals on Christmas day/eve and on New years Eve and Day. The food was for sure five star with beautiful setting and amazing service. Every afternoon between 3:30 till six as were were getting back from skiing we were greeting by a luxurious lay-out of freshly made cakes and sweets with tea in one of the hotel bars. We never wanted to leave to hotel at night since the food was so good even though originally we planned going to other restaurants. We were on half board and highly recommend it. The rooms were very nice and good size - the bedding was better than in most five star hotels we stayed in, including the Ritz. Monica made sure personally all was good I got massage every other day as it was so nice and the spa was new and very pretty and clean. For sure recommend it.
