"Cannot fault it!"
We just returned from a long weekend in Milan and although the city is great our hotel really made our stay! It is 2 minutes away a metro station that takes you right to all the sites. The room size was great and had useful facilities - minibar, tv (view bill, set wake up call), safe etc. The bathroom was on the small size but had everything you needed and was very modern. If I had anything negative to say about it is that the room temperature doesn't go below 15c so it was a little too warm but we had the windows open and there was no noise. The staff were all were pleasant and happy to please. Oh, and the breakfast area....situated at the top of the hotel and really well decorated.

Rubens Hotel
We found this hotel very disappointing given the very positive reviews we had read. We found that the photos on the site were VERY flattering, well done to the photographer!! Our room was nowhere near as nice as on the photos and we were given a twin, having a confirmed booking for a double. The hotel said it is their policy to do this if they wish and would not consider compensation. The hotel is VERY ordinary and not in a particularly nice area. On the positive side the reception staff were nice and the gym and breakfast were ok. All in all it was reasonable value but nothing special at all. |

"A great weekend break"
Well situated, just near Gambara metro stop on the red line, west of the City, and a short walk to De Angeli with many great shops/boutiques, the Rubens offered a great weekend break in November.
A metro or 24 tram will take you into Duomo Square. Hotel very pleasant - good rooms, helpful staff, breakfast vg. Well appointed rooms and bathrooms with hair dryer, good powerful shower, loo and bidet.
