HG Tenerife Sur was built in 1986 with the charm of the Canarian style and last refurbished in 2006. HG Tenerife Sur is ideal for families.

Appartment broken into!
We stayed at Tenerife Sur from Dec 26 2008 until Jan 9 2009. We had booked a one room appartment, which which turned out the be smaller than we expected. Especially the kitchen area was tiny, and had only one socket for two appliances, both of which were used by us. The sleeping area wasn’t very spacious either, with poor lighting. The badroom was somewhat decrepit, and had hairs in the drain of the bath. The floor was dusty, especially under the bed. Our appartment was on the ground floor of the tall building at the back of the complex. Behind the rooms, right outside the sleeping area, is a path, on which early in the morning staff was often talking loudly. This woke us up several times. Also in the morning the machine used for drying the tiles around the pool was noisy, and one morning the gardener was mowing grass early, all not very good for having a lie in or some quiet rest on the balcony. On top of all this, on the last day of our stay our appartment was broken into and things of ours were stolen. We told the receptionist, but she wasn’t very interested or helpful, she didn’t even call the police for us. The thieves had come in through the sleeping area windows, over the bed. The windows were tightly closed when we left for a day trip, if was difficult enough to open them from the inside, let alone that they could have been opened from the outside. There weren’t even any signs of forced entry. The appartment next to us was broken into as well, in the same way. We strongly suspect that the staff is involved in these break ins, the windows must have been opened from the inside, probably by cleaners. We definitely would not go back to Tenerife Sur ever again!
