Recommended this hotel stayed two nights last week of Dec 2004. yes, it is located away from the city sights - a leisurely 30 minute walk or 10 min cab fare (you can use scandic vouchers which cost 7 euros for one way fare to town). the surroundings of the hotel are tranquil and you are assured a good nights quiet sleep. We were impressed with the Scandic environmental philosophy-- the electricity for the room activates with the room key. also, the bathroom lights are sensor and automatically shut off and garbage can is divided into recyclables. the room was cool, never toasty even when you increased the thermostat.

"Just like Heaven" What a terrific hotel! The bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up in the morning. Beautiful hard wood floors and very clean. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner there. The hotel was a bit out of the city center. However, we drove our car so transportation wasn't a problem. The hotel has a huge car park and its free.
