LOCATION

Kampa Island where the Hotel Archibald at the Charles Bridge is situated, is within walking distance of Lesser Town and the Old Town Square while the nearest historic sight is, of course, the famous Charles Bridge. The Charles Bridge is decorated by 30 statues and it dates back to the 14th century. The bridge is 516 metres (0,3 mile) long and 10 metres (32 feet) wide.

While the Kampa island is home to a contemporary art gallery, if you pass through the Charles Bridge, you will arrive at the Old Town Square where beautiful medieval buildings such as the Tyn Cathedral, St. Nicholas Church and the Old Town Hall are situated.

The Lesser Town features numerous tourist attractions as well as the Prague Castle is located 5 minutes walking distance from here. This is the biggest ancient castle complex in the world with its churches, gardens, palaces and towers.

The closest public transportation links are the Malostranske Namesti tram station and Malostranska metro station. If you arrive at the Prague Ruzyne Airport, you can take the Airport Express to Dejvicka, then transfer to metro line A to Malostranska and finally you can get on the tram no. 22 to Malostranske Namesti which is approximately 400 metres (0,25 miles) from the Hotel Archibald at the Charles Bridge.
