The Hotel Archibald City is a pleasant design hotel located in Central Prague, within close proximity of the Wenceslas Square. The hotel consists of 81 modernly designed rooms and facilities suitable for both business and leisure travellers. |

LOCATION
Located on the Zitna Street in the centre of Prague, the Hotel Archibald City is approximately 350 metres to the famous Wenceslas Square and 400 metres to the Charles Square and the New Town Hall.
The Wenceslas Square is the commercial centre of the New Town and features numerous shops, bars, restaurants and clubs. The National Museum with a collection of 14 million items and the Prague State Opera are located here as well.
Five minutes walking distance from the Wenceslas Square is the Old Town Square where guests can visit some magnificent structures as the Tyn Cathedral, the St. Nicholas Church and the Old Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock mounted on its wall.
The Charles Square was founded in 1348 and it is the largest medieval town square in Europe. On your way towards the Jiraskuv Bridge, you will have the chance to visit the Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius and the Dancing House which features a restaurant with a beautiful panoramic view of the city.
The Hotel Archibald City is adequate for business travellers as well while the Prague Expo Center is located 1,6 kilometres south of the hotel.
The closest public transportation link is the Muzeum metro and tram station, about 350 metres away. If you arrive at the Prague Ruzyne Airport, you can take the bus no. 119 to Dejvicka and transfer here to the metro line A to Muzeum.

"Close to perfect!"
Stayed for four nights during the hottest july days (over 30 degrees celsius) and really appreciated the airconditioning! The hotel is new, bright and in neutral colours. The staff seemed a little reserved, but I think this is rooted in the czech nature. They were very helpful, but could probably profit on a smiling course. Not that we cared, we didn't go to Prague to make life lasting friends with the hotel staff. The location was perfect, our room was perfect, the breakfast was perfect (at least for me - lotsa eggs and bacon. (The Significant Other would probably disagree to some extent.....)) We will certainly stay at Archibald on our next visit to this enchanting city. B&P, Norway

"Great Hotel & Location"
Stayed at the Archibald for 2 nights on16/9, Hotel is in an excellent central location about 5 mins walk to Wenceslas Sq and approx. 15 mins easy walk to Old Town Sq. Hotel staff very efficient - and yes, not over friendly but we did get a smile from the receptionist despite what previous reviews say! The hotel is new and spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. Its on a fairly busy road but rooms are well soundproofed with Aircon, we were on the 5th floor and our room was not overlooking the road so no problem. Breakfast was good, fairly wide choice of hot & cold food. Overall excellent value and a very comfortable base to explore this fabulous city.

We could not fault the hotel for cleanliness and service all were excellent. We went BA so enjoyed above average service here too.
Prague was great at xmas time with the market street venders and the signing in the square and very magical experience.
We walekd everywere a sthis is the best way to appreciate the sites of the city.
I have no doubt we will return and use the same hotel.

"Good hotel"
I stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend during the christmas of 2006. It is a nice, clean hotel, with a friendly staff and a nice breakfast.
The location is ok, about 5 minutes from central Prague, you have to walk past a couple of striptease bars to get there, but it did not cause us any trouble.
The room was nice enough, the bathroom had a bathtub, which is nice, since I dont have one at home.
The minibar had good space for snacks and cokes we brought back to the hotel.
I must say I missed the oppurtunity to watch pay per view-movies, or some other english-speaking channels except from CNN... Die Hard in german just doesnt do it for me.
All in all, I think its a good Hotel, and would not mind staying there again |

"New Year Break"
We booked 5 rooms over the New Year Holiday & had absolutely no problem with the hotel or it's staff. The hotel is a modern newly built premises about 2-3mins walk from Wencelas Square. The rooms are clean, well furnished & comfortable & quiet. Previous reviews mention strip clubs/XXX shops are located near the hotel but they are not a nuisance, in fact you would not even realise they were there. Considering it was New Years & the amount of people celebrating on the streets, we encountered no trouble at all. If I was returning to Prague for a break I would stay at the Archibald again. I believe hotels are a matter of personal preference & what the individual is used to. If you want a nice, centrally located hotel for a short break in Prague you could do much worse than stay here
