"location is excellent "
Arlington Hotel's location is excellent - room was spotless - staff friendly - breakfast and breakfast times superb and staff in restaurant really nice. The heating system was out of control. Our room was like an oven and our asking the staff to correct it only drew lame excuses. Augustus & Myah, Riga

"Arlington Hotel's service was great"
Arlington Hotel's service was great. There is a large bar with entertainment on the ground floor that was pretty lively. There was a lot of noise from partiers in adjacent buildings and on the street, so sleeping was not always easy, but hotel was close to the action. Eric, Catania

"Pleasantly surprised"
After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried about what we might find & built up a picture of a cheap & cheerful hen party hotel with an excellent location. Which I guess is basically what it is but in the best possible way. We were there from 8 - 10 June & there was no scaffolding in sight so we timed that right. We shared a triple room & it was excellent - spacious, clean and lots of character - first hotel room I've had with a fireplace. We were at the front on the first floor so there was a bit of traffic noise but that was fine with the windows closed. We could hear people leaving the club when it closed on the first night so on the second night we decided that if you can't beat them, join them, so that was ok! The breakfast was basic but it was hot & there was plenty of it, which was fine by me - much better to keep it simple & get it right rather than try to please everyone & no-one ends up happy. The staff were very friendly & helpful & even remembered our drinks orders from the night before - at breakfast I was offered tea, coffee or Jack Daniels & coke! Temple Bar was an experience - great for hen parties but I never want to see another pair of bunny ears again. Zanibar up the road from the hotel was much more fun & far less hassle. We had a great time & I'd definitely stay there again - it might not be the Ritz but it was excellent for the price!

"Perfect for a weekend of fun!"
Went to the Arlington with some friends for a hen weekend and we had a wonderful time here. I'm fussy when it comes to hotels and I read all the reviews on here before we left so I kind of knew what to expect. Most of these reviews are spot on i.e. If you are expecting luxury then think again BUT if you want to stay somewhere filled with fun, laughter, dancing, music and a mighty good craic, then this place is for you. We found we didn't even have to leave this place for the more famous "Temple Bar". Although the temple bar is packed out with pubs and places to eat, we thought The Arlington was a much more fun place to be and much more accepting of hen parties and drunken behavoiur! The Irish dancers are FANTASTIC and so was the Irish band who had us all singing along to the old classics. We all woke up singing "Cockles and muscles alive-a-live oh"!! The rooms were tired and in need of updating but they were clean and had pretty much everything you need (no iron though). You really mustn't expect too much from this place by way of appearance - you really do pay for the location and the fact that you are in the heart of all the action here. The breakfasts were lovely - just what the doctor ordered after a heavy night on the Jamesons! Be warned though - the drinks are pretty expensive here. If you want coke, they give you a bottle which bumps the price up quite a bit so you are better off sharing one bottle between two if you are on the shorts. Also, I noticed that sometimes you got doubles when you didn't actually ask for them so if you want two vodka and cokes, ask for two SINGLE vodkas and one bottle of coke, this way you won't end up feeling like you've been done over! The bar is open late here and the nightclub downstairs open even later - I personally wasn't too keen on it down there but only because I thought the dance music was crap. I'd have been much happier listening to the Irish band for a few more hours! All in all, I would really recommend this place but not for a romantic getaway. The location is spot on for all the sightseeing etc but I would mainly recommend it for a fun weekend with friends. Perfect for stag and hen parties but not as tacky as you would expect so don't be put off by this. Many locals also drink here so it can't be that bad! One more thing - we booked a limo to pick us up from the airport and this was well worth the money! The firm we booked with was called akm limos and the web site has various different cars for hire. The red one cost us 170 (about £120) Euros and the journey took just under an hour in total (we did get stuck in a bit of traffic though). It was a perfect start to a perfect weekend. We plan to return for round two early next year and can't wait to get back there for more fun and laughter!

"Great Value"
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and I was pleasantly surprised as it was not what I would call expensive. All the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was on the 4th floor and had been recently refurbished so was nice too. You'll notice I said the room was nice, it was light, airy, clean and spacious, however the bathroom was not up to this standard. The bathroom was quite spacious compared to other hotel bathrooms, however it had the smallest shower in the world and no bath. The bar area was good with live music every night good guiness.
