sleeply nights We stayed 4 nights. Excellent wetter.Our room was situated next to a busy road and did not have airco. The choice in the night was to open the window, so you were unable to sleep because of the noise. Let it closed made the room so warm, that you could not sleep either. Staff was nice. In total absolutely not 4 stars! 2.8

I booked Artis Hotel mainly because of its location. City center is 15 minutes on foot, there's also a tram line right across the hotel. Also it was a cheap hotel considering that its 4 stars and in a central location. I wasn't disappointed, although I must say the hotel is not quite 4 stars. Room was average size but the bathroom was too small. Breakfast was so good and staff were helpful. Would stay there again. 3.8

perfect location Artis Hotel has an extremely perfect location! The public transportation is just at the doorsteps of this hotel and it is also located in a very nice area of Vienna. Artis Hotel is perfect if you want to explore this beatutiful city. Even though it is in the city centre, it is not very noisy. Our room was not the best one in the world but it was adequate to have a good night sleep. 3.8

"Lots near by" I stayed at the Artis at the beginning of September 2006 as part of a Cosmos 10 day tour of Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary . The hotel is on a busy road but this can be good and bad. You can sometimes hear the traffic from your room. However it has easy access to the centre. Take tram 71 to the Ringstrasse and catch a tram 1 or tram 2. There were grocery stores and restaurants nearby. An internet cafe just down the street. Satellite TV CNN and hairdryer in the room. It is near Belvedere Palace (walking distance) The service was good. We gave the hotel attendant a Tide stain remover and he thought it was like gold.

"I liked it, kind of funky." I stayed in this hotel as part of a large tour group. I had a single room on the top floor, which was tiny but modern and new. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent with a good selection. If you like walking, you can reach the city center in 10-15 minutes, or take the tram which stops right in front of the hotel. There is an internet cafe a couple of doors down the street. Beware of the TV though. It is very easy to turn on the pay-per-view, since it doesn't ask for any confirmation. In conclusion, it's a decent hotel, different from a lot of the chain hotels, but with a city like Vienna to explore, you probably won't spend much time there!

"good, clean and great staff" I stayed for 2 nights for a very good price. Staff were very polite and welcoming. the room was a good size, although the bathroom was tiny. However it was very clean and had all you needed. The artis is well located and using the tram is easy so getting any distance in this very beautiful and safe city was simple. i would stay at the Artis again.

*** Hotel staff is really helpful, multilanguage speaking, but rooms are really poor, no furnishment, and completely different from the picture showed in the site. Absolutley is NOT A 4 STARS HOTEL. Good the location, 10 -15 minutes walking from the city centre.
