City Break
Considering the exchange rate, under £60prpn with GTA was fantastic value for this beautiful little 4* hotel. It's just 100m from the Metro and only a few stops to all sites so at 10euro for a week's Metro pass and 3* hotels in Plaka costing over £100, we made a big saving over 4 nights. The hotel was quiet (despite nearby building works), friendly and efficient. The small room, like the whole hotel, was newly and tastefully decorated and very comfortable (range of toiletries + hairdryer but no kettle). Buffet breakfast had a wide range and the fruit in our room was thoughtful after a late evening arrival. The area is not great at night but there's a 5* 200m away in the same boat and the Metro is so close! The small restaurant (Barrels) directly opposite was friendly and good value with family made wine on display in barrels above us. Issogio bar/cafe 2 blocks away (corner of Psarron and Viktoros Ougo) was clean friendly and cheap. We had a great stay and will always look to this hotel first in future.
