Dunvegan is surrounded by history. The seat of MacLeod of MacLeod, Dunvegan Castle, is just ¾ mile away. The house itself is overseen by the Millenium Stone, marking the year 2000, yet a few miles North pre-historic subterranean dwellings can be found, (if you know what you are looking for). Brochs, duns and ruined settlements can be found all round the Dunvegan area.

There are a wide range of outdoor activities such as walking, climbing, canoeing, sailing, seal trips, horse trekking and lots, lots more.

* Furnished in country house style, the Atholl has eight ensuite bedrooms: one four poster room, three standard doubles, two twin rooms, one king room and one single. All have colour TV, hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities. Each bedroom is tastefully and individually decorated to a high standard.
