"Majestic, Amazing,"
I stayed at Grand Hotel Atlantis Bay in September 2003, I have to say that it is one of the most luxurious hotels I have ever stayed in! It certainly lives up to its 5* Deluxe standard. It is definitely a hotel for the chic and elegant, typically Italians and a few other guests from other parts of Europe. The service is traditional Italian no fast anything(!) which is exactly what you would be looking for at this type of location. (If you want buffets and all inclusive this is not the place for you!) The hotel has a stone bay enabling the keen swimmers to swim, sometimes not easy in Southern Italy where beaches are at a premium. The pool is beautiful, set into the rocks, as is the hotel itself. Taormina the town is set high on the cliffs above the hotel reached by a funicular(cable car). Bring sturdy shoes/sandals for walking and elegant evening dress for the outdoor restaurant! A really unique hotel for the discerning traveler with European tastes.

"delightful hotel"
a truly delightful hotel. Service was outstanding with the bedrooms creating a wonderful ambience. The hotel would score 10 / 10. Unfortunatley the restaurant was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Because of this I personally would give the hotel 8 / 10 overall.
