A complimentary full Irish breakfast is served in the Oyster Restaurant. "good service, nice room"
Very plesed with our stay, nice hotel, friendly staff and good location on the edge of town... Food was excellent both nights and the bar had a nice atmosphere and music in the evening....Our only problem was the construction being undertaken to the rear of the hotel where theyre building a new health club, pool and spa....so our room overlooked what is at present a building site....however the hotel said this should be finished by june and will make this a more attractive place to stay....oh and dont miss the beautiful lakeside walks just 300 yards from the hotel

"Relaxing stay"
Had a great stay at the Auburn Lodge Hotel, they are doing extensive work on the grounds building a leisure centre and extra rooms but this did not make a difference to the stay. The staff were very helpful, couldn’t do enough for us, the food was amazing. Some of the older rooms in the hotel do look a little dated but this all going to be changed with the work going on. We were very happy with our stay and will go back again as soon as the pool and gym is finished....great value

"Lovely Hotel"
We stayed at this hotel recently and were very happy with it. We generally stay in four star hotels as a rule and i was a bit chancey about going to a three star hotel. It was perfect. They are doing renovations at the moment and had only opened up their new bedrooms to the public a few days prior to our visit so we got one of the new bedrooms. From experience of previous hotel rooms it was well above average and much more from what i woudl have expected from a three star hotel. Of course it didn't have the small little things for example the heated towel rails or air conditioning. But to be fair the design and comfort in the room was of high quality. We had a meal in the hotel that night and it was beautifil. Swiftly served and excellent service. We also had a few drinks there after our meal and the craic was good there with lively music playing until twelve (which was a little bit too early for a saturday night i thought). All in all we ahad a very enjoyable night there and the rates are very reasonable for high season.

"Pleasantly surprised"
attended a friends wedding at the hotel last month and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was especially considering the hot and cold reviews on here. The wedding reception room looked amazing, the food equally good, and the room was gorgeous ( being best man i got upgraded to a suite). The staff were very friendly and the manager helped a lot in settling my nerves before i made my dreaded best man speech. The garden provides a lovely backdrop for photos as does the nearby Ballyalia lake. Highly recommended!!
