"Great Patio-Nice Hotel"
The Hotel Aurora was in a nice location in Amalfi. It was at the end of the road so it was a little quieter. But it was certainly walking distance from all the activity. The patio was great (for the superior room). It was huge--maybe more than 8 feet by 5 feet. It over looked the sea and "beach." Looking up from the patio were mountains. It also had a table and chairs and lawn chairs to tan on. The service was quite friendly (the hot chocolate in the morning was great). The room itself was very nice--ceramic floors. A very small TV. Nice size bathroom. The food was fair. Did I mention the hot ciocolate? Mmm. The "beach" as was most of the coast (except Positano was a little better) was all rocks. Very uncomfortable. And honestly, the beach itself wasn't all that pretty. If you want to stay in Amalfi, this is a great place. I might stay either on Capri (or Anacapri) or Positano or Ravello (which is way up in the mountains and very expensive). Early June was a little too cool to be there.
