"Wonderful hotel"
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Favorita. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a great shower. The location was OK. We could walk to Sudbanhof and took trams and/or the subway from there to get to various sites. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast. It was superb! We selected from fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, cheese, juice, hot foods including scrambled and hard boiled eggs. We are vegetarians and didn't partake but there were also cold cuts and hot breakfast meats including bacon and sausages. What a lovely buffet breakfast! The only drawback is that there was no air conditioning and it was very hot when we were in Vienna. We had to open the windows in order to sleep. But unfortunately, the windows opened up to a courtyard where people were talking and drinking late into the night. The noise kept us up. Still, this was only a minor problem, considering all the other positive aspects of the hotel.

Hotel Favorita is an excellent choice if only for one night, it is a no thrill experience with courtious and nice staff, so you get what you paY! Was surprisingly quite happy to see that the breakfast ok and well assorted and included in the price! My room had WiFi access and a lot of tv channels and even with BBC and CNN...
So if you are in town, only for a sleep before a meeting or whatever, this hotel is excellent. Beware that in summertime the top floors rooms are pretty hot!

"Very Nice Hotel and Location"
This hotel is a walk from the main train and U-bahn stations. It is very efficient and friendly. Were helpful with any questions. The rooms were big and clean. The breakfast was great. It is a good value for the money. It is in walking distance of the Belevedere and only a short U-bahn ride to main attractions. The only down side is no resturant but can get sandwiches at the bar. Liked the free safe in the room. Vienna is a beautiful clean city with so much to see and do.

Excellent hotel and very cheap. Staff were very helpful with directions and any problems we had. We had trouble with the safe in our room and within minutes the handyman arrived to fix it. Very easy to get into city centre. Take a left out of the front doors and catch the tram 100 metres down the road in the centre of the street. Sorry I cannot remember the number now. Take this tram around the corner and get off at the train station. Catch another tram across the road which takes you into the the city centre. It didn't take us very long to work it out. On our last day we discovered a huge shopping complex about three or four streets across which would have been ideal for shopping. Turn left out of the hotel and it is across the road after about 200 metres. Wouldn't buy any jewellery from the gift shop though as I purchased a ring for my girlfriend and the stone fell out! The buffet was okay although the hot food provided at breakfast wasn't very nice but there was plenty of cold buffet. All in all highly recommended and would definately return.

The hotel is a gem, Austria Trend website is marvellous and good rates for this hotel. Rooms are enormous, spotless and well tended. Breakfast is a delight a veritable banquet. Staff professional best I've encountered in years. Lots of conference business but individual travellers well treated. Trams outside hotel five minutes to centre underground nearby five minutes to centre.

This was our first time in Vienna, and we had a great time. The hotel was clean, comfortable and spacious. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke english very well, which was good, as my german is very rusty. The room had its own safe, which was good. It was about a 1/2 hr walk to the city centre, so we chose to use taxis, which cost between 7-9 Euros each trip. The tram is a cheaper option, and the tram & underground stops are about 5 mins walk away from the hotel. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel - comfortable and good value for money.
