"Fantastic place to stay...we loved it!"
We stayed in early December for 9 nights with 2 kids aged 10 and 8 and we had an absolutel ball. We had a 2 bedroom apartment, ground floor on the main lake. The accomodation was spacious and clean and either it is very well maintained or brand new as there were no signs of wear. TV's were everywhere, the kids had their own TV in their room, as we did in our bedroom. Our bedroom had a king size bed and a huge ensuite with great big family size bath. The kitchen was als very big and all the facilities for a self contained holiday were perfect. As people before me have said, a 24 hour grocery store that had everything was a short 4 minute drive one way and Walmart 7 minutes the other way on the other side of the I192. It was close to Disney (15-20 mins), remembering that Disney world itself takes up 3 or 4 exits off the freeway and about 25 to downtown Disney and 30 mins to Universal. I can't recommend this place enough, our experience was fantastic!

"Loved Bahama Bay Resort!! "
We stayed at Bahama Bay and loved it. We stayed in a 2 bedroom in Building 14 on the second floor. We had a great view of the pond and the room is close to the Clubhouse and the beach. The room was clean, comfortably furnished and the kitchen was fantastic....fully equipped with everything you need for a stay. We loved the caribbean feel of the place...so relaxing. The place is a great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the other hotels near Disney. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed staying in a suite with 2 bedrooms instead of cramming my family into a tiny hotel room. We wanted to stay longer, but sadly couldn't. The other reviews are correct...everything you need is just a short 5 minute drive away...Publix and Walmart. You can't beat this place for the price! I'll be back.

"R&R Paradise...."
Loved it, loved it... LOVED IT!! We stayed here for part of my husband's R&R from Iraq and as he describes it "pure bliss". It really was! We absolutely loved it! We decided to rent a condo for the luxury of a home away from home, so we could have home cooked meals, room to roam (instead of being restricted to a hotel room) and enjoy the fun & sun of Orlando. It worked out great! We rented the condo for 10 days at a very nice rate of $99 a night. It is a short drive from Orlando and took you out of the hustle and bustle of the busy touristy areas. The property was well kept with 3 pools (there are also 2 restaurants on site) a short walking distance away. The condo we lucked out getting was a bottom floor with a little patio overlooking a nature preserve area. Every morning we would have breakfast on the patio before heading out for the day. In the evening, we were able to make a nice home cooked meal and relax. In between time, we enjoyed all the surrounding Orlando attractions... downtown Disney, City Walk, Universal (even saw a taping of the Ellen Degeneres show), Capone's dinner theatre, shopping, etc. It was our looooong overdue honeymoon & my husband's sanity break from Iraq..we loved every minute of it and the comforts of home that the Bahama Bay Resort provided were outstanding!!
