Baiyoke Sky Hotel's room was too big and bathroom was huge too.The ferniture was old alittle the service staff were very kind and alway have a smile. The location was very noisy. |

"Baiyoke Sky Hotel was great"
Baiyoke Sky Hotel was great... upon waiting at the front desk, we were immediately accomodated by the attendants, we just waited for less than 5 minutes since there was a line.
The buffet breakfast was great, continental, indian, thai and some japanese.
I plan to stay here again in my next trip to bangkok.. since the location was great (taxis are available at the hotel entrance), hotel staff were very friendly (frontdesk personnel, operator, bellboys, housekeepers) and the rooms were clean and spacious (the bathroom was spacious too - with separate shower and bathtub).

"Great hotel - great rates - great location"
We have stayed at the Baiyoke sky several times now in both rooms and suites. The rooms are generous in size, clean and very comfortable. The suite which I booked for a ridiculously low rate via the hotel website was huge. It was like a small apartment , had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. The hotel is right in the middle of the market area and is a shoppers paradise (and a husband's nightmare!). The food is marvellous - the diners are spoiled for choice and the restaurant on the 87th floor gives a brilliant view of Bangkok. The Skytrain is close by so getting around the city is a breeze. There may be other hotels that are a little more plush/luxurious but the combination of location, tariff and hotel quality make the Baiyoke Sky a top choice when staying in Bangkok. We make a point of staying at the Baiyoke Sky each time we visit Bangkok.

"Great Hotel, Great Location, Great View"
The hotel is very close to the major shopping centers. It is the tallest building in Bangkok and has a great view from 79th floor :)). Even the standard rooms are very large and have lpenty of space. All of the rooms have great view. There is a fruit court in lobby floor (for 4 dollars you can eat whatever you can eat from open buffet fruit court.) This is a perfect way to taste all fruits of this region. All I can say is stay away from the durian fruit. The others are great. Especially rambutan (hairy fruit).

"Great place"
What a great place to stay!
We have just had 4 nights staying in this hotel and have not got one bad comment.
The rooms were huge with a very large bathroom and the bed was very comfortable.
Food was excellent and room service also was outstanding.
All the staff spoke english and were very helpful.
The massage on the 20 floor was heavenly.
After staying in Patong in 41/2 star this was even better than the novotel.

"Baiyoke Sky Hotel - great!"
My boyfriend and I, both 21 stayed here for 5 nights. I was suprised how great the Baiyoke was since I hadnt read many reviews on it. As well as being a landmark building (because of its towering size over the rest of Bangkok), it was a great hotel. We were instantly upgraded to the 67th floor and our bedroom and bathroom were huge and spotless. When you step outside the hotel doors your in the chaos of markets, traffic etc, but its heaven for shoppers. The view was amazing, especially at night. The tour operator in the lobby was very good and the dining areas were exquisit. I would most definatley return here!

"Amazing hotel - a must stay in Bangkok"
I stayed at the Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Sept 04 for 4 days, with my wife on our anniversary, at check in we were instanly upgraded to a deluxe room.
The room was massive, with a breathe taking view and very clean. The bathroom was fit for a king , a very large shower and nice bath tub. The swimming pool was a reasonable size over looking other hotels. I was very impressed with the buffet breakfast in the morning it was overlooking Bangkok , a large variety of food was availble. Staff were very helpful. The lifts were extremly fast. A stone throw away are all the shops and markets for great bargains. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone ie. couples, family ,large groups. This hotel can be seen for miles around , i would definatly go back and spend much longer there.

"Great Hotel!"
In July/August 2005 I went on a 2 month trip from Australia, visiting 6 countries, 15 cities, & staying at 19 hotels, with my wife and 13 & 2.5 year old daughters. This presented a good opportunity to directly compare hotels & areas visited.
On a previous trip, we had stayed at the Indra Regent Hotel next to the Baiyoke Sky, however there were minor elements of that hotel that weren't good, so we thought that we would give the Baiyoke Sky a go. I'm very glad that we did, as this hotel gave us a big room & excellent friendly service. One thing that we really like when we're on holidays is staff who smile, say hello, & actually make you feel that they are glad that you've visited. The staff at the Baiyoke Sky made us feel that way. The facilities at the hotel(gym, restaurants, etc) are also good.
Another thing with us is that I'm white & my wife is a Vietnamese/Australian who has been in Australia since 5 y.o, & we had no problems anywhere in Bangkok. In fact, our baby was treated like a celebrity not just in the hotel, but all around Bangkok, as the Thais seem to love white-Asian babies.
The Pratunam area that the hotel is in is the best place to stay in Bangkok. Directly around the hotel are some good markets, with cheap clothes, etc & good noodle stalls. Directly up the road & around the corner(easy walking distance) are some big, air-conditioned shopping centres, including the World Centre, Siam Square, Siam Centre, & the Mahbrookrong Shopping Centre. A major University is located nearby, so the area is patronised by a lot of well-behaved young people. We spent most of our time hanging out in this area. In the Siam Centre, visit the UCC coffee shop, as it has really good cheap food, coffee, etc, & free internet use(we ate there every day on this & the previous trips).Other areas that you’d want to visit are all just a cheap taxi ride away.
In the red-light area of Patpong, there are also markets, & we felt safe walking around there.

"Three nights"
I stayed there for three nights. The staff was extremely helpful and I was on crutches and it never even slowed me down because the staff was always there to help. they had a business center with internet that was affordable and the food was great. There "club" upstairs was cool, I never got to stay for the fun because the jetlag was still messing with me. For the money it was great value and I'll stay there again when I go back.
