"Bangkok Palace Hotel is great" Bangkok Palace Hotel is great. its clean it has a clean pool. Ther service is good and in general its a good hotel . There is some noise from the road if your sunbathing buts its not much .not far from the sky train ,, 15 walk there and get a tuk tuk back for around 50p.

"Brilliant" Bangkok Palace Hotel has a very nice large reception area, spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. It has a very pleasant bar area with live music, pool table and lovely cocktails. Breakfast is very good, large choice, well prepared and cooked. Pool area is spacious and clean with some noise from nearby flyover. Only disappointment was we were on the 5th floor and only had a view of the flyover and roof tops,However, so much to do, hardly spent anytime in the room. About 10 mins away from main shopping areas, MBK, Paragon Centre, Pratuanam Centre, Make sure you go to Khao San Road at night, Brilliant.

"Friendly hotel" This hotel was a great place to stay for the few days we were in Bangkok. The staff were very friendly offering a great service. The food in the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous - the best meal i had all the time i stayed in Bangkok. The only negative thing that has to be said about this hotel is the location. It is fair to say that to get to any of the main shopping centres or attractions it is necessary to get a taxi or tuk tuk. I would advise you not to use the hotel taxi service from the lobby as they charged us around 9x more than the 'street taxis'. Although you MUST agree the price before you get in the taxi! A taxi or tuk tuk should only be a few hundred baht to the main shopping centres. So always barter with them. For example we got a taxi from outside the hotel to the grand palace for 200 baht.
