"Great Hotel and througly enjoyed it"
Stayed here for one week at the beginning of August for 7 days half board. We had our daughter and grand daugher with us who is five. Food was great considering the number of people to cater for, the pool area was excellent although loungers somewhat short for the number of people in the hotel so book early! Hotel rooms were excellent, very spacious and cleaned daily. No problems keeping the children amused - the kiddies club was great and there was sufficient other activies to keep them amused both during the day and in the evening. There is a beach directly outside the boundary of the Hotel so people have the best of both worlds. The streets are very clean with little or no ticket sellers to bother you and the shopping area is quite small. Although we did not eat out in the evening there appeared to be a good variaiety of places to eat and reasonable pricing. Entertainment in the evening probably could have been slightly better but did not affect what was otherwise a great holiday.

"Excellent Value for Money"
This was our second visit to the Barcelo Hotel, and our third to the resort of Costa Caleta. We found the hotel too be just as good as our last visit two years previously, with the pools clean, but sometimes slightly cool and refreshing! The only problem was for a couple of days during our first week when the weather was hotter than normal (maybe due to the fires in Gran Canaria as we were told) the air-conditioning in some rooms was unable to cope with this drastic change in climate with many guests having to complain to reception and management. We found the staff in the restaurant very helpful and approachable, as were the staff on reception. Try to avoid ordering drinks from the Cocktail bar at 9:45 (the break between certificates being given out and the main entertainment show) as it tends to be very busy and service can sometimes be slow at this time due to the large number of people ordering drinks before the shows start. We enjoyed the shows at night, both the external shows, in particular the Beatles tribute band and the Beijing Acrobats, however, Grease an the Blues Brothers, performed by the hotel animacion team were also fun and a good laugh! My daughter (15) also enjoyed the daily entertainment with a good variety of activities for the maxi club as well as the adults. Julien and Miguel were the best because they got everyone involved, and the daily bingo at 4:30 was good fun with the catchphrase "Mixy Mixy, Shaky Shaky!" We have already booked to visit this Barcelo hotel again the same time (end of july/begining of August) for Summer 2008!

"Loved the Barcelo "
15 people in our party, 10 adults 1 of which was disabled and 5 kids. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The entertainment in the day was excellent for both adults and children. In the evenings some shows were ok but others needed improvement Don't miss the bingo at 4.30 with Julien with his mixy mixy shaky shaky. The reps at this hotel are fabulous and kept us entertained all day. Food 1st class and the disabled facilited were 100% great. Rooms inc queen size beds. Never seen beds so big and will accommodate 4 people w/o any problem. Kids din't want to come home and keep asking to return. We will def return at some time in future. costa caletta not too commercialised. I like shopping and found enough in resort to keep me happy.

"Great hotel"
We stayed at this hotel for a week in March 2007- our first holiday with our 4-month old baby. We've previously travelled a lot and always stay in 4 or 5 star hotels-we had read previous reviews and we were a bit concerned about this hotel, but we needn't have worried. We booked all inclusive- food was not wonderful but it was OK and there was plenty of choice. Hotel was spotlessly clean and all staff members were really helpful. Pool area was spacious and there were plenty of sunbeds- therefore nobody needed to reserve them with towels, which was great. Check-in was busy but we were sent to the bar for a drink while they got things ready The resort itself is small and there is still building work going on but that didn't affect us in this hotel.

My wife and I have just returned home from Fuerteventura we stayed at theBarcelo Fuerteventura hotel, we had the best holiday any couple could possible have the hotel is second to none as are the staff and managment the food and drink were to die for the rooms were great. the pool and sun terrace were spot on and the pool snack bar was great. My wife and I are returning in september with the family and I know I will have a great time I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cristina Imaz and her wonderful staff for making our stay so fantastic
