LOCATION
Barcelo La Bobadilla Hotel is situated right in the center of Andalusia, 60 kilometers from the city of Malaga and 70 kilometers from Granada, which is easily and quickly accessible by motorway, as are the other Andalusian capitals.

"Near Perfection"
Its two years now since we stayed at La Bobadilla and having stayed at several other supposed luxury hotels in the intervening period, the Bobadilla just seems better than ever. Not only is its location truely fantastic, but the hotel itself is genuinely interesting in its design and first class in its service.
We had a beautiful suite facing the hills, wth a marble bathroom and bath big enough for two (comfortably). Pretty much everything about the hotel worked. Three good restaurants, one of them around a lovely little courtyard, large, uncrowded pool area, massive grounds with scope for lots of running and mountain biking, and places like Granada, Ronda and the surreal El Torcal not too far away.
We will definately be back.

"Perfect"
We did not want to leave Marbella Beach Club as we had enjoyed that but were pleased to spent the rest of our September holiday and this hotel. It was great (and we are incredibly fussy). The staff were a real plus point - all very friendly and helpful but the hotel was not stuffy or snooty or bling bling.
We had a room with salon which was huge. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom and separate loo and the salon was very spacious with a lovely balcony. It was quiet, until a couple stayed above us on the last night and they could be heard moving around. perhaps try to get a room on the top floor?
We loved the outdoor pool area - so much space and not on top of each other. Bar not open out of high high season but I think there was a facility to ask the pool girl to bring you something (but would not swear by it). Walked up to outdoor lunch restaurant which was perfect.
For dinner we ate in the more formal La Finca. Food superb and not too formal - some men wore jackets, my husband did not.
We did not leave the hotel in our few days here so could not comment on what else area has to offer, but this place was for us perfection and a holiday we will definitely repeat very soon.

"A Honeymoon getaway"
My wife and I stayed three nights at La Bobadilla. Tucked in the olive groves in beautiful southern Spain, the Bobadilla is a retreat from the world. The restaurant "La Finca" received rave reviews and presented good food; the truffle cream soup was tremendous. We went horseback riding, played tennis, relaxed in the small indoor pool and sauna. Great times in the for-two jacuzzi. Nothing much else in the area - we left one afternoon in 3 days. Go if you're looking to be pampered.
