"we loved hotel barcelo"
we went to hotel barcelo pueblo october 04 and it was a nice hotel although sometimes it took ages to get served from the poolside bar it was very hot day and night but a very quiet little town so good job they had a disco that went on until 3am because you would get very bored after all entertainment finishes you only have the outside bar to get drinks from up untill 1am because there is no other late bars outside of the hotel infact there is no other bars you can go to in punta prima that is away from the hotel ,only a pool bar round the corner wich i think closes at maybe 10 or 11pm so thank god this hotel has a disco untill 3am ,wich we found not too bad ! Sometimes in the hotel resturante you would have to wait ages for a drink with your meal thats if you get one atall ,i think it would be better to hold your hand up for some attention other than that we had a good time here defo recomended for a quiet holiday for the family !

"excellent hotel for families"
Hotel was very clean with excellent facilities for all the family. Food was excellent with a wide range of dishes catering for everyone, however poolside snack bar served burgers, chips and toasted sandwiches for those who wanted macdonalds food. Children were well catered for with excellent kids club, evening disco and games and play areas. New splash pool nearly finished when we were there. Rooms for couples were a little small but very clean, family room was very good with seperate bedroom for adults. hotel was close to resort centre just down a slight hill. Beach was great, a few local souvenior shops, bars and resturants. Small train every hour to next resort. Buses do get full outside the hotel so best to walk down the hill to first stop. We found easiler to get a taxi for 14 Euros This was in May when it was a lot quieter so it is going to be harder to catch a bus in July/August. May not suit teenagers/clubers as it was a quiet resort although hotel has a night club for those who want it.
